Toddbrook Sailing Club
Your generous donation enabled the club to purchase a replacement Firefly mast to complete the renovation of the fleet of Fireflies the club has purchased to begin the new activity of team racing. A picture of the new mast is attached.
Working hard over the winter months we were able to complete the renovation of the boats in time to host a Derbyshire Youth Sailing practice day on 26th February. The purpose of this practice event was to pick two teams to compete in the National Schools Sailing Association’s team racing competition to be help at Draycott Water on the 26th and 27th of March.
A picture of Toddbrook members renovating the boats in the club house and of the boats being used in the DYS practice event is also attached. The boats will shortly be used by our older juniors and an inter – club competition.

As a club we are very grateful for the contribution you have made to this project, for the club and for Derbyshire Youth Sailing. A Facebook posting on the DYS site said that the boats were great.

It was an incredible week with great people. It's so amazing how every time everyone gets along so well. I've learnt so much.
